Tori Amos’s ‘From the Choirgirl Hotel’ is, despite the origins for the songs, an album about loss.
Each song has an element of loss in it, whether it be through losing another person or losing oneself.
But more importantly ‘choirgirl’ teaches that losing something isn‘t permanent and,
with the proper searching and emoting, when you find what you’re looking for once more you are more whole than before.
